27.01.2016 Tier 1 (Investor) Visa and Bonds
In order to get a Tier 1 (Investor) visa you can:
– invest £2,000,000 or more in UK government bonds, share capital or loan capital in active and trading UK registered companies and become a UK national in 5 years; or
– invest £5,000,000 and to receive nationality in 3 years; or
– £10,000,000 and you have to wait only 2 years to get your UK passport
The Tier 1 (Investor) visa is issued for a period of a maximum 3 years and 4 months. However, you can extend it almost automatically for another 2 years. Moreover, your husband, wife or partner and children under 18 years old will get their visas and consequently become UK nationals.
Bonds involve investors loaning their money to an organisation (i.e. a government or a company), and receiving fixed interest payments over a set amount of time. They are traditionally seen as a safe investment, and a key part of a diversified portfolio.
Bonds have always been a popular investment for British and Foreign investors, for while their value can fluctuate according to factors such as interest rates and inflation, they provide investors with a regular income.
This is the only visa which does not need to have English language knowledge and allows you to work and study without any limit (for example, if you have an entrepreneur visa, you would need to pass English and also can only work for your chosen company).
The new Immigration Rule stipulates, that prior to applying for an Investor visa, you would need to have a UK account opened. We can assist with that as well.
