The demand for housing in London is stronger then ever leading to affordability problems. In response to this The Housing and Planning bill will allow the mayor of London to have a greater control over the development in the capital. 175000 households in private rented accommodation will get access to the shared ownership as the qualifying income cap for the scheme has been raised. In the 2015 Autumn Statement the Government proposed to initiate the biggest building program since 1970.
