Housing prices in London in February 2016 rose by 5.4% compared with January and reached a new record, reports Bloomberg. Overall in London the initial prices for property jumped to 643 843 pounds ($932 thousand), according to data from real estate portal.
The prices for housing in Central London have risen by nearly 8% to 848 thousands pounds. Only in February prices increased by 2,9% compared with previous month. Over the last year offers of real estate increased by 5%, especially offers of small and medium-size properties, primarily for people buying homes for the first time, increased by 10%. However, it had not affected the demand in the London housing market. Moreover, the growth in housing prices in February was recorded in 23 out of 32 administrative areas of London, the average price of housing in the British Capital in annual terms increased by 11%.
