Tatiana Svetlova

Tatiana is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. Her practice has a broad-based UK and international tax and real estate focus dealing both with transactional and advisory work.
She has previously practised law with major international law firms in the City and most recently at a ‘big four’ accountancy firm. Tatiana represents a wide cross-section of clients ranging from ultra high net worth individuals, venture capital funds and banks to non-profit organisations and sovereigns.
Tatiana’s practice has a particular focus on the establishment, restructuring and ongoing operations of family offices and wealth holding structures for clients with international interests.
Tatiana is a fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. She sits on executive boards of the London Magazine and Nomada Art publishing.
Prior to a career in law, Tatiana studied the history of art and music. She performed opera at the Holland Park Opera, the Royal Festival and the Queen Elizabeth Halls. In her spare time Tatiana writes fiction and poetry.
- Tatiana’s recent representative transactions include:
- Acted on behalf of a consortium in the £1 billion acquisition of the entire shareholding of 3 companies together holding 73 Intercontinental Hotels;
- Advised a major bank on the £100 million acquisition of a portfolio of 8 properties in multiple jurisdictions;
- Acted on behalf of a property company in the acquisition of a portfolio of 3 office properties in the UK at the purchase price of £60 million;
- Acted for a telecommunications client in connection with a sale of multiple development sites;
- Advised on re-structuring of a major property holding in Canary Wharf with a view of allowing investors to take benefit of enterprise zone allowances;
- Advised a Russian investment bank in relation to stamp duty reserve tax and a ‘recognised intermediary’ status;
- Advised a property fund on leasehold enfranchisement of their residential property holding and formation of the “right to manage” company.
