Immigration and residence

UK

The UK has always been a popular destination for overseas families. High net worth individuals often give their preference to the UK’s favourable non-domicile regime, political robustness, personal safety and convenient geographical location and, importantly, excellent education environment for the children.

Initially, many Russians and other foreign nationals choose to have their children educated in England. Wives and mothers may wish to be able to reside in England during the usual school term times to be with their children. Some families may have longer term objectives of having the right to settle in the UK or of becoming UK citizens.

We can give appropriate advice on the various routes to settlement and naturalisation in the UK and make and pursue applications for entry into the UK, for permanent residence and for naturalisation, etc. as appropriate for clients.

We provide practical advice on what is possible and achievable depending on individual circumstances and help clients to achieve their long and short-term objectives efficiently.

We provide full support in connection with the following programmes:

  • Investors wishing to invest over £1 million
  • Certificate of Sponsorship (Work Permit) applications
  • Applications for British Citizenship - often involving the exercise of discretion
  • Tier 1 (General) applications for highly skilled applicants
  • Clients wishing to establish a business in the UK
  • Sole representatives of overseas organisations
  • UK inward investment

We have assisted many foreign companies with setting up their businesses in the UK. We deal with all aspects of gaining a sponsor license for employers and work permits for employees.

St Kitts and Nevis
The Bahamas

Several countries have adopted programs, which allow the acquisition of citizenship on the basis of an investment and/or a direct contribution to the state as a means of development of the country.

We can provide advice in connection with obtaining residency and citizenship in St Kitts and Nevis and the Bahamas.

It is not always practicable or desirable for families to spend 5 years in the UK in order to gain the UK citizenship. St Kitts and the Bahamas offer an alternative for dual citizenship.
